Seems like a decent sight
I took it to an indoor range today to try to sight it in. It took a little while to get it to a satisfactory point but I got it close enough. When looking through the sight, the dot is sharp but when aiming against the paper target I was shooting, it was pretty distorted. Not sure if using it outdoors will improve the dot sharpness or not. The jury is still out on it. Overall, it should fit my needs well enough.

what you would expect…
easy to install. Easy to zero. Seems to hold zero over a few hundred rounds, so far. Use it in an inside AR run-n-gun…way easier and quicker than iron sites especially with the wide range of dot adjustability…small crisp low light dot for inside…brighter somewhat larger dot for outside.

Mine was legit
Holds zero, great battery life. And most impotrtantly mine was not a knockoff! I have seen horror stories about people buying knockoff sig optics. Took mine compared it to the one i got from sig and to my buddies, identical. took it to my LGS and they also belive it to be legit. id trust my life with it.

Stupid simple great
So I actually bought this a few years ago. I put it on my duty AR. I really didn’t use it except once a year to qualify at the range. I keep the cover on to keep the glass from getting scratched. Recently I bought a new gun and it came with no sights. I took the riser off of this and placed it on that gun to try it out. The battery even after being in my car all this time is fine. After adjusting for windage and elevation it worked great on my new 10/22 charger. Playing with the adjustments was not too difficult after getting the caps off. Put the dot where you want the bullet to go and it was dead on even if I looked at it through weird angles.I normally use iron sights but this convinced me to re-think that. I am considering putting this in my 22/45 next. Sight acquisition is faster the more you use it.Long battery life. Ease of use and it has both the riser and low mount so can work with pistol or rifle. The price is right and even on low settings works outside in the sun.Better than night sights in the house for home defense and you can shoot with both eyes open. It’s durable. I had this mounted and banged around in my patrol car a lot. It still looks like new. And it functions flawlessly.I will say this. It is designed by Sig Sauer but says right on the body of it made in china. Still what works, works.

Incorrect information in some reveiws!
I received this in the factory sealed box, and with the factory tamper proof seal in tact! The sight came boxed with the,Mounting key,Lens cloth,Battery,2 mounts, lens cap,Instruction Sheet. This is a very nice sight, easy to mount, clear optics.Clearing up the misinformation about this sight.A few things that’s important to know about the optic!(1) Read over the instruction sheet, don’t just think you’ve had these types of sights before and you know how this one works and end up leaving bad reviews.(2) Yes! the sight has an auto off after 120 seconds of “No Motion” and auto motion ON so, yes if it stored in a vehicle the motion of it will keep the red dot illuminated and cause an unnecessary battery drain. If you’ve read the instruction sheet it informs you that the sight also an actual Power Off and Power On option, to use this option you only have to hold down on either the + or – button longer than 1 second, and the same thing to power it back on.(3) reports of the sight not working in MOST cases is caused from one of couple of things, when you first install the battery you will not be able to see the red dot until you turn up the brightness, so click the + button (Don’t Hold It Down At First, Just Click It) 3 or 4 times if you still don’t see the dot assume the sight is in its Powered Off Mode and push and hold either the + or the – button for 1-Second to actually turn the sight on, then click the + (plus) button a few times until the dot becomes bright enough to see.(4) Another possible problem that could happen is with installing the battery, mine had a safety peel off sticker that HAS to be removed, well due to certain conditions when you peel these off it leaves adhesive (glue) on the battery so its possible to leave enough as to cause a loss of battery contact. Make sure when you peel the sticker off from the battery that all the adhesive is cleaned off of the battery itself._______________________________________________________________________!Caution! the brightness adjustments in either direction ISN’T A PUSH & HOLD operation!!!!! its momentary CLICKS!That means that the brightness setting isn’t a constant veritable, its in CLICKED STEPS!!Caution! holding down for more than one second on either the Plus or the Minus button actually turns the optic sight OFF (totally powering it down) meaning that just clicking the brightness buttons (Plus or Minus) will not do anything until the optic sight is “Turned Back On”Bottom line on the misinformation of this optic, its has some higher level electronics then the standard red dots, its not rocket science to understand, but its cause for a lot of these being returned and the reason for a lot of the low rated reviews. Its NOT only “Auto Powered Controlled” it can be Turned Off, and it can be done so by accident.PLEASE read over the instruction sheet FIRST before you box this sight up and return it, its quality enough to deserve that much attention.Bottom line on the optic sight itself.Let me make this clear! This review is from a 64 year old AR-15 (5.56 NATO) gun owner!!The sight responded well to adjustments!Seems to be holding ZERO very well with what ammo I’ve fired so far!It has very clear optics!Having the turret adjusting bits built onto the turret caps works very well! There is no issues with the quality or function of this sight that I can find, but I’m thinking that the same sight upgraded to the larger tube and lenses might be NICE! but it would be larger and it cost more!Very Nice for the money!

Solid and Affordable
The Sig Sauer Romeo 5 is a solid red dot optic for any weapon. It comes with the Sig Sauer name which gives it street creds. Comes with a high riser type mount and a low/flat mount. Mounts to any standard P-rail. With two options to mount it can go on something without “iron” sights but you really have to lay your cheek on the stock. You can mount high to get the cowitness with/over the iron sights. The optic is clear and the dot brightness is adjustable. It’s a basic, low price, entry level red dot with a good reputation manufacturer.

By far the best RDS you can buy for under $200
Taking into consideration of the plethora of cheap Chinese optics that you can buy for $30-60 that honestly don’t perform too badly. And the $600-1000 Eotechs that will never lose zero even after being subjected to a direct nuclear blast. Hell, even the cheaper $300-500 Holosun and Swampfox optics are giving the big optics manufacturers a run for their money. But for some people, even Holosun is too expensive. That’s where these little gems scattered about come in clutch. Monstrum Tactical makes some of the best red dot and prism optics for under $200, and they’re even pretty damn tough. But if you want something that comes with a name that somebody has heard of, and that’s built a little bit better, then this is it. I thought I was gonna stick with Monstrum for life, but I’ve heard so much about the Sig Romeo that I had to try it out. The presentation felt premium, the materials and finishes feel premium, the glass is a little tinted and subject to a little bit of glare, but otherwise looks great. The buttons are nice and tactile, and the optic is pretty light weight. I love the little Allen key that comes with it, I love that it comes with a standard and absolute co-witness mount. And best of all, it comes with a microfiber cloth, which is always nice to have when you wear glasses. I could talk about the projector, the turrets, and everything else, but this review is already just a few words shy of a novel. Just know that you do always get what you pay for, but you honestly could’ve sold me this optic for $400 and I wouldn’t complain. For my particular applications, this little Romeo suits me perfectly, and would pair well with a magnifier.

very well constructed
Impressively well-constructed. Rock solid. Very easy to install on an AR. Red dot is very sharp and bright. The biggest feature over competitor sights is the controls. Easy on/off button, brightness up/down, easy turning windage and elevation adjustment knobs. This is a great sight for close quarters or short range (25 yards or less). Anything 25 yards and over needs to be on the large size as the sight has no magnification. At 25 yards, the red dot covers at least 50% of a typical 12-inch diameter circular paper target. At 50 yards, the red dot will cover the same paper target. At 100 yards, fuhgeddaboudit unless the target is on a large moose.

Durable & Works Great
Really impressed, literally dropped it on the concrete garage floor right out of the packaging and mounted it on the firearm. Sighted it in and it’s had zero issues and has stayed zero’d in. I’m really happy with it for the price point. I’d buy another but probably mount it on the firearm over carpet or something less likely to scratch the sight.

Love this red dot! Target acquisition izs quick and accurate.
So far, I love the Romeo 5. Mounted it on my M1 Garand. Holds true, easy to mount. Comes as shown and with a low profile mount, lens covers, battery and the mounting tools. If it continues to hold 0, I will be getting one for my mini 14.

Put it on your AR build and start siting in easy peasy
Great site, was having trouble seeing my peep sites and watched a few videos about this guy. Bought it here ($126 now $117…) and put it on the rifle, went to the range and a few adjustments its right on. Cowitnessed perfect with my front site. I would suggest buying the Monstrum flip up dust caps because you will almost immediately lose the bikini caps it comes with…Have fun!

Perfect Red Dot for a S&W FPC 9mm
Recently bought a Smith and Wesson FPC 9mm which comes with no sights. Bought the Romeo5 and installed easily in minutes. Been making very slight adjustments but it basically came sighted in and the FPC is almost dead on at 25 yards with potential for more I’m sure. The field of view isn’t large so for quick sighting it might be tough but with a couple seconds of sight acquirement it works well. The auto turnoff feature works great as most of the time i forget to turn it off. Would buy again and highly recommend.

Sig quality. That pretty much says it.
I kept seeing recommendations for Sig red-dot sights in the discussion groups I frequent. I put one of these on a new Ruger Mark IV 22-45. Sighted-in quickly, love how it looks and functions. Not crazy expensive, but the quality is there. Would buy another, and probably will.

Good Red Dot Sight
I originally gave this red dot sight a bad review. Turns out that what I was blaming on the sight was not the fault of the sight. It was the fact that I self diagnosed myself with a Cataract. It was my eyes, not the sight. Since then I’ve got things straightened out and I now use this red dot and very happy with it. Sorry Sig!

Great Red Dot at a Great Price
This was one of the top rated red dot sights on most of the websites that had reviewed and rated this type of optic. It is also one of the most economical. I was not disappointed with this when I got it. It is very well designed and built, and the dot is sharp and easy to see even in bright sunlight.. Add the warranty and Sig/Sauer’s product support, and this is a great choice for an affordable Red-Dot.

Punches above its weight!
I’d read a fair amount about these before I ordered one for my new AR and was still very impressed upon arrival! The packaging is very nice and the optic itself is really solid quality. I almost felt like I was unboxing an Apple product. The package arrived in perfect condition, with the factory seal intact. It comes with everything you need to set it up and get running. The housing is aircraft-grade aluminum and the dot is crisp and bright. It just LOOKS neat, too! This is a much nicer device than I’d expected for the price. I am definitely happy with this purchase.
It was a nice kit and was cost effective but it was just the wrong kit for my application return was easy and refund was fast –

Decent Cheap Optic
I did send this back for an unrelated reason (PSA had a sale on other optica that interested me more).I did get an impression of this optic though. The sight picture is quite clear while using the first half of brightness settings, but things get very… red while on anything higher. Ive used a few at my local range and they seem to hold decently well. Cant really verify the zero though.Does come with a shorter mount too.

Real and happy
First optic I purchased and so far I am happy with the purchase. The biggest concern I had purchasing online was receiving a fake/counterfeit but after carefully examining it looks legit. Happy and satisfied!Update: I was able to go to the range and zero it in and it’s been holding well so far. I’m pretty satisfied with this purchase so far and I like how you can adjust the brightness with so many settings.

Solid product.
Assuming you’ve bought at legit optic and not a knock off, it’s the best bang for your buck. The easiest way to tell if it’s a knock off is to look at the tiny light that projects onto the lens. If it’s positioned at the bottom center of the optic then you’ve got a knock off. If it’s off the center and to the bottom right you’ve got a sig. You can find other tell tale signs on youtube. The one I purchased was legit no frills and well priced.

It’s blurry almost like a dot on top of a dot. Was gonna deal with it but it’s enough to agravate me. It’s going back. Might try one more and see if it’s just that unlucky site you get or if they all are blurry.

Good quality for price point
I now have four of these, and they all work great. They are all mounted on SBRs or PDWs and have maintained zero after much rapid fire. I still have an Aimpoint on my home defense SBR because I’m of the belief that it’s more reliable.

Looks good to me
So first, I purchased this red dot because it was cheap. I have an AK that ive shot maybe twice for a total of 20-30 rounds. My plan was to put an optic on it so I could run for a while since I got a ton of 762×39. I have a number of holosuns and wanted something different and didn’t feel like breaking the bank on an Aimpoint so the Romeo 5 fit the bill. I took it to the range and was having issues matching up the sights with the red dot and still hitting zero when I noticed the sights on my AK are slightly canted making my groups hit about 8 inches to the left of the point of aim at 100 yards. Of course Arsenal doesn’t want to own up to it without me paying to ship it and fix it. I told them no thanks. Since then I’ve run maybe 1200 rounds through it and bypass the iron sights. No POI shift, flickering or anything. Last weekend I put it on a Stribog and once again it worked fine. I’ve hd it a few months now and have not turned it off. I keep it set around the mid brightness level. What I really like about this optic is that it comes with two mounts. So far I’ve been running the low mount exclusively but it’s nice to know I have the tall one as well in case I run it on something else. As for the negatives… I don’t find it particularly attractive as the logo is a little on the large size. In addition the front lense is very reflective which gives the optic just a little bit of tint. It’s not a huge issue but at dusk it is a bit darker than a holosun or T1. Otherwise I think think this optic is a great value for what it is. I don’t anticipate taking this thing into battle anywhere so I don’t need something crazy durable as it’s durable enough with me bumping it around when I run drills. If I need a battle ready optic I’ll run an Aimpoint or eotech but for range trips and drills and normal stuff it’s just fine.
