EPS Holosun green dot closed device
Excellent product and I went with the green dot due to older eyes with cataract correction. Very easy to install and adjust. This device has a closed emitter keeping debris, dust etc out of the device. Shake awake a hug plus and it works every time. I purchased two of these at once mounting them on a Glock Gen5 mos 43x & Gen5 mos 48. I have tried many others and these are the only ones I’ve found function perfectly for my application.

I bought this mini optic for my new S&W Performance Center M&P Shield Plus 9mm ACP. The subcompact pistol comes with a CT Red Dot which is subpar to the features that Holosun provides. This Green Dot optic fits the gun perfectly thanks to the included baseplate and allows me to co-witness the fiber sights like the original optic. It even fit the same Vedder IWB holster. The green dot stands out better in all lighting conditions than the red, the battery is long lasting and easy to replace, the solar backup provides ease of mind, and remains accurate through hundreds of rounds fired. The enclosed housing makes it easy to clean and keeps dust and rain out of the optic. Installation was a breeze. I used a red 9mm bore-sighter to sight in the optic at 15 meters. It’s a bit pricey compared to other Holosun and CT options but well worth the money.

Smaller version of the EPS for narrower handguns, better for conceal carry even on larger guns
Holosun created the perfect “red dot” sight. The green dot laser version is much better than red for my tired, older eyes. Can easily choose between the small single accuracy dot, the large circle (easy to quickly see) reticle, or both together. The enclosed laser means no worry about dirt, dust, lint, water obscuring the laser.The battery probably will last nearly forever; so far at least a few hours a couple times a week for several months. And, the battery changes out from the side so I don’t have to disrupt the zeroed in sights to change. And, if the battery ever does go dead, the photo cell will provide power (at least during the day). The correct mounting plate for the Glock 43x or 48 is even included to convert to the Holosun “K” type mount. However, the included plate is too small to fit the Glock 17 or 19. (The standard EPS includes that plate but some may prefer the smaller EPS carry version.)Only improvements suggested:Holosun should include the shorter screws that are needed for the Glock 43x and 48.And ideally make a version with the Glock type RMSc mounting system so the adapter plate would not be needed. The EPS Carry uses Holosun’s “K” type mounting with only short front “recoil” posts. The Glock RMSc uses the same screw holes, but longer front recoil lugs and two additional rear lugs.

Does Not Mount Properly. Screws Are Garbage
I was honestly expecting more out of Holosun for the high price & the good things that i’ve heard about them, but ive also read some bad things about them.Well I’m here to tell youthe reviews are 100% correct: The mounting screws that come with the optic out of the box are absolute garbage. DO NOT TRUST THEM WITH YOUR LIFE!!!Before buying this optic I read alot of bad things about how these screws are too soft and how its so easy to strip them, so put them on with a little bit of blue loctite and made sure not to overtighten them.(They were on there pretty good & I have also mounted several optics in the past)Long story short, not even 3 rounds into zeroing the optic, the optic flew out hit me in the face and landed out past the hot line. They had to call a cease fire because it flew so far out into the range. It was embarrasing and made me feel a complete amateur.When the range instructor brought the optic back to me he looked at the brand, asked me if I installed it with the screws that came in the box & he was basically like yeah Holosun makes horrible mounting screws for some reason. Ive seen it happen alot here & this one regular at the range had to go back forth with them about the screws stripping on him until he gave up after the 3rd time & bought some aftermarket screws from a different company & they seemed to have worked out just fine for him.I guess thats what I have to do now. I had to switch back to my previous optic & I’m just hoping that my super expensive optic from Holosun isnt damaged from being flung out into the concrete floor.HORRIBLE FIRST EXPERIENCE WITH HOLOSUN!!!

A top of the line Holosun product
Mounted on a Sig p365 X Macro Comp. It works with or without the included RMS mounting plate. However, if you mount it without the RMS plate, you need to sand a couple millimeters off the mounting screws or the slide will bind. After getting it mounted and sighted, it has been rock solid. Hundreds of rounds through and it stays zeroed. I love the option of 3 reticles. I’m not sure that I like the auto-brightness because there have been times I have been shooting outdoors and I’ve been in the shade and my target was in the sun and I couldn’t see the reticle because the sight dimmed the reticle since I was in the shade. The reticle is excellent and bright when in a well-lit area, though. In my house in the dark, the reticle is OK. I still wish it was still a little brighter than what the auto-brightness feature makes it. So, I have set the brightness to a constant level that works for me whether I am in the bright outdoors or in dim light. That’s the only negative I have found to this sight. Be sure to read the directions so you know how to switch between modes and reticles otherwise the button pushing can be frustrating. I would rate this sight 9/10 with -1 point for the reticle being too dim in low light. Otherwise excellent Green Dot Sight.

IMO the best carry optic for micro pistols
It just works. I now have 5 Holosuns, 2 of which are the EPS Carry, and there’s nothing I can fault. It fits directly on P365s, but the included screws only work when using the included mounting plate. If you want to mount directly without the mounting plate, then you need shorter screws. I contacted Holosun and they sent me the proper screws. I received them in about 3-4 days. Great customer service. Mounting it without the plate gives me bottom co-witness with the stock iron sights. When using the plate, the rear sight sits just below the optic, so you won’t be able to co-witness. I like the functionality of the EPS Carry and having Holosuns on all my carry optics allows me to be familiar with each as they have the same button functions (exept the Multi-reticle versions have extra functions). I have other full size optics and each brand is different. For example SIG optics require a long press to turn off while Holosun requires pressing both buttons at the same time. I’m more than satisfied and will keep getting Holosun EPS Carry in the future.

Like a Hyundai, nice but more pricey than it should be
Holosun delivers considerably more features than competitors for this footprint. I’ve had some issues with this on a P365 spectre comp where the electronics falter and change the reticle or brightness. Not enough times yet to go through the hassle of dismounting and sending for repair/replacement, but getting close. The saving grace is I can count on them to honor it, I’ll just have to buy something else to mount while it’s out, which is always aggravating.

Probably best enclosed pistol red dot
Have this mounted on my G43x and it’s been working flawlessly. It came with all the hardware and tools I needed. Would definitely recommend for anyone looking for a closed emitter pistol red dot. I haven’t used many other enclosed pistol red dots but from the hours of research I’ve done this red dot seems to be the best option.
