    Incorrect information in some reveiws!

I received this in the factory sealed box, and with the factory tamper proof seal in tact! The sight came boxed with the,Mounting key,Lens cloth,Battery,2 mounts, lens cap,Instruction Sheet. This is a very nice sight, easy to mount, clear optics.Clearing up the misinformation about this sight.A few things that’s important to know about the optic!(1) Read over the instruction sheet, don’t just think you’ve had these types of sights before and you know how this one works and end up leaving bad reviews.(2) Yes! the sight has an auto off after 120 seconds of “No Motion” and auto motion ON so, yes if it stored in a vehicle the motion of it will keep the red dot illuminated and cause an unnecessary battery drain. If you’ve read the instruction sheet it informs you that the sight also an actual Power Off and Power On option, to use this option you only have to hold down on either the + or – button longer than 1 second, and the same thing to power it back on.(3) reports of the sight not working in MOST cases is caused from one of couple of things, when you first install the battery you will not be able to see the red dot until you turn up the brightness, so click the + button (Don’t Hold It Down At First, Just Click It) 3 or 4 times if you still don’t see the dot assume the sight is in its Powered Off Mode and push and hold either the + or the – button for 1-Second to actually turn the sight on, then click the + (plus) button a few times until the dot becomes bright enough to see.(4) Another possible problem that could happen is with installing the battery, mine had a safety peel off sticker that HAS to be removed, well due to certain conditions when you peel these off it leaves adhesive (glue) on the battery so its possible to leave enough as to cause a loss of battery contact. Make sure when you peel the sticker off from the battery that all the adhesive is cleaned off of the battery itself._______________________________________________________________________!Caution! the brightness adjustments in either direction ISN’T A PUSH & HOLD operation!!!!! its momentary CLICKS!That means that the brightness setting isn’t a constant veritable, its in CLICKED STEPS!!Caution! holding down for more than one second on either the Plus or the Minus button actually turns the optic sight OFF (totally powering it down) meaning that just clicking the brightness buttons (Plus or Minus) will not do anything until the optic sight is “Turned Back On”Bottom line on the misinformation of this optic, its has some higher level electronics then the standard red dots, its not rocket science to understand, but its cause for a lot of these being returned and the reason for a lot of the low rated reviews. Its NOT only “Auto Powered Controlled” it can be Turned Off, and it can be done so by accident.PLEASE read over the instruction sheet FIRST before you box this sight up and return it, its quality enough to deserve that much attention.Bottom line on the optic sight itself.Let me make this clear! This review is from a 64 year old AR-15 (5.56 NATO) gun owner!!The sight responded well to adjustments!Seems to be holding ZERO very well with what ammo I’ve fired so far!It has very clear optics!Having the turret adjusting bits built onto the turret caps works very well! There is no issues with the quality or function of this sight that I can find, but I’m thinking that the same sight upgraded to the larger tube and lenses might be NICE! but it would be larger and it cost more!Very Nice for the money!

Excellent site with sharp and clear image out to the full viewing radius.

I purchased this after buying a cheaper one from China. I should have remembered that you get what you pay for. I returned the one made in China and purchased the Sig site. Now I have a sharp image out to the sight’s viewing radius. It turns itself on when the rifle to which it is attached is moved and turns off when no motion is detected ( in the gun safe). Nice red dot and clear viewing radius out to the edge of the lens. I would have preferred it have a green dot option also but it is a nice sight. I can confirm it has excellent quality, clarity. brightness, and excellent quality.

    Stupid simple great

So I actually bought this a few years ago. I put it on my duty AR. I really didn’t use it except once a year to qualify at the range. I keep the cover on to keep the glass from getting scratched. Recently I bought a new gun and it came with no sights. I took the riser off of this and placed it on that gun to try it out. The battery even after being in my car all this time is fine. After adjusting for windage and elevation it worked great on my new 10/22 charger. Playing with the adjustments was not too difficult after getting the caps off. Put the dot where you want the bullet to go and it was dead on even if I looked at it through weird angles.I normally use iron sights but this convinced me to re-think that. I am considering putting this in my 22/45 next. Sight acquisition is faster the more you use it.Long battery life. Ease of use and it has both the riser and low mount so can work with pistol or rifle. The price is right and even on low settings works outside in the sun.Better than night sights in the house for home defense and you can shoot with both eyes open. It’s durable. I had this mounted and banged around in my patrol car a lot. It still looks like new. And it functions flawlessly.I will say this. It is designed by Sig Sauer but says right on the body of it made in china. Still what works, works.

    Impressive.

Call me impressed! I didn’t really expect much from this little beauty but it’s been fun to slap on guns and be able to shoot very quickly with accuracy. The battery panel is side opening which is nice I don’t have to take it off and recenter when I need to swap batteries.Shake to wake is awesome and means the batteries will last a long time. I like that it’s a closed edmitter and seems sturdy enough for typical use.I’d buy more of them when needed!

    Looks good to me

So first, I purchased this red dot because it was cheap. I have an AK that ive shot maybe twice for a total of 20-30 rounds. My plan was to put an optic on it so I could run for a while since I got a ton of 762×39. I have a number of holosuns and wanted something different and didn’t feel like breaking the bank on an Aimpoint so the Romeo 5 fit the bill. I took it to the range and was having issues matching up the sights with the red dot and still hitting zero when I noticed the sights on my AK are slightly canted making my groups hit about 8 inches to the left of the point of aim at 100 yards. Of course Arsenal doesn’t want to own up to it without me paying to ship it and fix it. I told them no thanks. Since then I’ve run maybe 1200 rounds through it and bypass the iron sights. No POI shift, flickering or anything. Last weekend I put it on a Stribog and once again it worked fine. I’ve hd it a few months now and have not turned it off. I keep it set around the mid brightness level. What I really like about this optic is that it comes with two mounts. So far I’ve been running the low mount exclusively but it’s nice to know I have the tall one as well in case I run it on something else. As for the negatives… I don’t find it particularly attractive as the logo is a little on the large size. In addition the front lense is very reflective which gives the optic just a little bit of tint. It’s not a huge issue but at dusk it is a bit darker than a holosun or T1. Otherwise I think think this optic is a great value for what it is. I don’t anticipate taking this thing into battle anywhere so I don’t need something crazy durable as it’s durable enough with me bumping it around when I run drills. If I need a battle ready optic I’ll run an Aimpoint or eotech but for range trips and drills and normal stuff it’s just fine.

Good optic, do not like the cover

I finally got this out to the range today to give it a good try.First, this was extremely easy to install. It took a minute or so to attach to my picatinny rail. Now all I have to do is add a little blue loctite and this isn’t going anywhere.Out of the box it was already fairly accurate. I used the iron sights to get a rough idea. For a red dot on an AR-15 fifty yards is about the longest distance to sight this in. Any longer and the dot takes up a large part of the target. Along these lines, this dot is much smaller than the one I have on another AR. It can be made to be bigger but having a more accurate dot is a major plus.At 50 yards I was a little low and left but made a quick adjustment. It was fairly accurate. Again, this is not designed to be a long distance target scope. It is dialed in from inside 50 and I have confidence. The dot will go off after a few minutes which really helps the battery. All that is great. The only reason I dropped this to a 4 star is I really do not like the bikini cover. It wants to slip off and the covers do not snap on well. If the connecting rubber breaks I’m a little worried the glass will be unprotected. If they fixed this issue on a redesign this would be a 5/5 for sure. It is a good quality red dot at a good price.

    I’m a fan

This is my 8th Romeo… because they work. I use it exclusively on rifles for 200yds or less. Basically anything that’s a .223 or smaller. My zero is on point every range visit. Never had one fog. Had one that occasionally didn’t power. Turned out to be the battery connection. Resolved it myself. I’ve used $800 “a-pointdots” The Romeo gets the same job done.

    Accurate

We love it. This one we put on my brother’s gun, it took some time to dial it in but after we did it was spot on
